We are an icon workshop by the Orthodox community in Italy.
We make icons and crosses for churches, measure icons for newborn babies, wedding couples and consecrate them at the relics of different saints.

Most often we use whole boards of rare wood species:

• Mahogany - is most often used in the production of small home icons and external frames of church icons.
• Cherry - in most cases it is used in the production of medium and large household icons, as well as household crosses
• Olive
• American Ash
• Oak

In most of our icons, a relic holder is inserted, which contains a shrine from the saint depicted on the icon.
For example: The icon of St. Nicholas contains sand and myrrh from Bari, the icon of the Spyridon of Trimythous contains filakhto from the island of Corfu, the icon of the Mother of God contains a piece of the belt of the Virgin from the holy Mount Athos

Our workshop is engaged in the reproduction of icons, that is, the reproduction of the originals by printing and transferring to the selected wood. This method reduces the cost of direct painting of an icon on a board and reduces the production time. The service life will also increase up to 100 years.

The production time of the product directly depends on the type of desired icon or cross

- Home icon (up to 20 cm. in width) from 5-7 working days.
- Church icon (from 30 cm. in width) from 20-25 working days.
- Home cross (up to 15 cm. ) from 5-7 days.
- Church or tomb cross ≈ from 25-30 days (depends of the size)

It is not recommended to swim or take shower with relic holder necklace, as water can get inside and spoil the inner shrines. In addition, if the water is poor quality or contains a large amount of salts, this can lead to darkening of the product.
